Another year passes…

… leaving us older, wiser and more mature no doubt!
On the 13th of May 2015, Philos IT celebrated our second birthday. Two years down and still going strong!
We would like to thank our clients (see our Clients section for more details) and our team (see Our Team section) for making this possible.
We have had a good year, having doubled the size of our workforce and we also doubled the size of our office space during our second year in business. Twice as old, twice the number of employees and twice the physical space – a year of twos. Some of our employees presented us with two (naturally) cakes to mark the occasion – one of which is being displayed by Alejandro, Natalia and Guilherme in photo above (and evidence of the second can be seen on the desk behind!).
We are not done yet though – we continue to look to expand in all areas and look forward to making further strides in year three!

Our growth continues!

Our numbers continue to grow with the recruitment of another software engineer –  Natalia Garcia Yusta.

Natalia is a senior Java developer with a great deal of experience and a valuable acquisition to any team. She has worked in a wide variety of IT projects, giving her a broad vision with regard to solution design and architecture, a lot of practical, hands-on experience with many different technologies and a real knack for picking up new platforms, frameworks and concepts.

Natalia originates from Madrid, Spain and moved to Dublin some time ago – presumably for the weather!

Welcome to Philos IT, Natalia!

Our numbers grow once again!

A new year and a new employee! Ksenia Abramova joined us on our opening day of 2015, increasing the number of developers in Philos IT once again.

Ksenia is an ambitious young Java developer from Estonia with a bachelors degree in Informatics Engineering and moved to Ireland to have a new life adventure and pursue her career path here in 2014. Ksenia helps us rejuvenate our team with some young blood and brings fresh ideas and energy to the company.

We’re happy to have you here with us, Ksenia. Tere tulemast!

Welcome Marcos!

We are happy to announce the recruitment of another highly experienced software developer – José Marcos de Juan Martínez! Or simply “Marcos”…

Marcos has over 10 years software development experience and joins us from Madrid in Spain. He has worked extensively with Java and the Spring framework across many web development projects. His diverse experience enables him to adapt quickly to new challenges and provide knowledge, advice and mentoring to our other developers and those of our clients.

The tension in the office is building with the addition of another Atlético Madrid fan – we now number two El Atleti fans to one Real fan! The rest of the staff are remaining neutral…

Welcome on-board Marcos, great to have you here.

Happy birthday to us!

We are one year old!

As of the 13th of May 2014, Philos IT are celebrating our first year in business.

It’s been an exciting year, consisting of a combination of lots of hard work and good fun, during which we have built effective, successful software and many fruitful and positive relationships. We have grown as a company and find ourselves in a strong position going forward for year two.

We have spent most of our first year working closely with CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants (Deutschland) GmbH, implementing a very successful hybris e-commerce solution for EPlus Gruppe, one of Germany’s largest telecoms providers and we will continue this work into the first quarter of our second year at least.

So busy times, but maybe not too busy for a small beer to celebrate! 😉
